This new collaborative website aims to provide development practitioners around the world with a virtual platform to connect and share solutions that can help solve the energy access challenge at a faster pace.

Community led and simple to use, the online forum is based on peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and allows users within the community to ask questions and share insights.

Hundreds of practitioners have already started using the forum to connect and seek guidance from their peers on various issues such as innovative consumer financing solutions for off-grid energy services, new business models to scale clean cookstove, as well as energy policy and regulations in specific countries.

“As a repository for best practice and innovative approaches, our Energy Access Online Forum offers practitioners access to information they otherwise would not have access to.” said Jane Olga Ebinger, Managing Director, Policy and Knowledge at Sustainable Energy for All.

“Through its unique mix of content and diverse members, the community is the source for information and professional development tools for members,” said Malcolm Cosgrove-Davies, Global Lead for Energy Access at the World Bank Group. “The community has enabled its members to make key connections and access the information and resources they need for success in specific projects or initiatives.”
