The Asia Pacific Hub is led by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). The Hub Secretariat is hosted at the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
The Asia-Pacific Hub was launched in June 2014 to accelerate and facilitate the achievement of SEforALL targets in the Asia-Pacific region and to focus on information sharing, forging partnerships and providing a platform for cooperation around specific action areas. The Asia Pacific Hub aims to accelerate and facilitate achievement of SEforALL's goals by harnessing its three development partners' convening power, country presence and networks to mobilize partnerships to catalyze concrete actions at the country level.
The Hub supports development of a better policy environment to accelerate further development of sustainable energy, which is why established a Sustainable Energy Center for Excellence, hosted by the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore. The Singapore-based facility is a venue for regional policy makers to receive training on policy, technology, and project financing matters in the sustainable energy sector.
