Universal Integrated Energy Planning is a data-driven planning approach that helps governments map the least-cost pathway to universal access to electricity and clean cooking. By combining geospatial analysis with energy demand and supply data, it guides policy, investment and implementation where they can have the greatest impact.
The Global Grids Database is a comprehensive repository of electricity grid infrastructure data that provides insights into grid development, performance and policy across countries. By consolidating publicly available data into a single platform, it helps governments, utilities and partners identify gaps, benchmark progress and inform grid planning and investment.
Rising heat is outpacing access to cooling. Over 1 billion people face high risk of lacking viable cooling solutions, while billions more are purchasing the lowest first-cost solutions and need sustainable options. Explore the Global Cooling Access Dashboard for global, regional, and country-level trends, heat exposure profiles, and interactive data.
The Energy Efficiency Toolkit is an interactive platform that helps countries identify priority energy efficiency opportunities across key sectors. By matching sector-specific needs with practical tools, resources and expert partners, it supports policymakers in accelerating implementation and delivering their energy and climate goals.
Open Building Insights (OBI) is an interactive and open-access digital platform that uses AI and geospatial data to map buildings, estimate energy demand and analyse urban development. It supports governments and partners to improve energy planning, target investments and build more sustainable cities.
The Global Heatmap of health facility electrification and the accompanying database provide a sectoral overview of the work happening around the world to electrify healthcare facilities, and aid stakeholders in identifying opportunities for coordination and collaboration.
AgCAP is an open-source, geospatial tool that identifies communities most likely to benefit from sustainable cooling solutions. By mapping cooling potential at the settlement level, it helps governments and partners guide cooling investments and strengthen productive uses of energy into electrification planning.
