Sustainable Energy for All Annual Report 2025
This Annual Report captures a year of partnership, practical action and country-led progress.
Throughout 2025, SEforALL worked alongside governments, development finance institutions, philanthropies, businesses and civil society to support 67 countries. This work helped mobilize USD 8.9 billion for energy access and energy transition initiatives and supported efforts that expanded new or improved electricity access to 107 million people.
The report explores the work behind these results, highlighting how global advocacy, partnerships, technical expertise and country leadership are helping turn priorities into action. It also reflects SEforALL's contribution to global cooperation through the COP30 and G20 processes as well as global UN-Energy efforts.
Other highlights include:
- More than 140,000 people gained new or improved energy access and services through 1,551 connections to households, businesses, schools and hospitals
- 104 high-level commitments and UN-Energy Compacts towards a just energy transition supported by SEforALL
- 42 customized country-level solutions, including plans, strategies, policies and regulations developed or enhanced with SEforALL support
- 30 Mission 300 National Energy Compacts developed across Africa, defining national targets for electricity access, clean cooking, renewable energy and finance mobilization
- 69 tools, platforms and knowledge products developed to provide new insights for partners across the sustainable energy sector
