First Bangladesh SEforALL Investor Forum, Dhaka, 29–30 October 2014

The first Bangladesh SEforALL Investor Forum will be held on October 29 and 30 in Dhaka. The U.S. Department of State, in collaboration with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Government of Germany has worked with the government of Bangladesh to prepare this Forum, which is the first Investor Forum of the SEforALL Initiative. U.S. Ambassador Dan Mozena will open the Forum, which will feature key-note speeches from Mohinder Gulati, the SEforALL Chief Operating Officer; Chairman Tapos Kumar Roy, Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority, and high level officials from the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and the Government of Germany. The first day of the Forum, held at the Dhaka Westin Hotel in Gulshan, has been structured to cover the global status of SEforALL activities, opportunities for SEforALL investment in Bangladesh, and the current investment climate in Bangladesh. The second day of the Forum, which is by invitation only, has been structured around the presentations of the project proponents in the areas of electricity access, clean cooking fuels, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.
