Souleymane Ba

Souleymane Ba is Partner and Global Co-Head of Climate Investment Strategy at LeapFrog Investments, where he co-leads LeapFrog Climate, a dedicated strategy investing in high-growth businesses driving the transition economy across Africa and Asia. He has over 20 years of experience in private equity and impact investing across developed and emerging markets, with expertise in climate solutions, financial inclusion, digital infrastructure, fundraising, transaction execution and portfolio management. Prior to joining LeapFrog, Mr Ba was a Partner at Just Climate, established by Generation Investment Management, where he co-led the Industrial Decarbonisation investment team focused on hard-to-abate sectors including energy, transport, industry and materials. He previously spent ten years at Helios Investment Partners, where he was a Partner and helped develop new investment themes across financial services, technology, telecoms and infrastructure. Earlier in his career, he held investment and banking roles at Warburg Pincus, The Carlyle Group and Morgan Stanley. Mr Ba holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University. He has served on several boards, including as Trustee of Wesleyan University.
