SEforALL is supporting the African Development Bank and the World Bank Group, alongside The Rockefeller Foundation and GEAPP.
Specifically, we are helping the African Development Bank and World Bank deliver Mission 300, through data-driven energy access planning in Mission 300 compact countries, helping create the market and regulatory readiness needed to drive new energy connections.
We also serve as a bridge to the UN System leveraging the dual role of our CEO as UN SRSG for Sustainable Energy and Co-Chair of UN-Energy, and ensures alignment with other UN agencies and Resident coordinators, as well ad drive political traction and international alignment for Mission 300
As a neutral, trusted convener with global energy expertise, SEforALL works closely with the Mission 300 partners, governments, and other key stakeholders to align efforts, share learnings, and ensure national ownership of the Mission 300 initiative.
In addition to our work above, we are also collaborating with partners to develop innovative financing instruments to enable private participation in local currency financing platforms with an aim to create a new pan-African local currency mechanism that will not only protect local investors from the risks associated with the volatility of currency markets, but also will lay the groundwork to unlock currently unavailable sources of capital for developers across Africa.
Providing Secretariat Support to the Mission 300 Joint Working Group
At the request of the Mission 300 Joint Working Group, SEforALL has established a dedicated Secretariat team to support operational framework, strategic planning and performance monitoring towards the successful delivery of Mission 300.
This team plays a crucial role in driving collaboration and providing both strategic and technical support to the African Development Bank, the World Bank Group, The Rockefeller Foundation, GEAPP, as well as Mission 300 countries.
In addition, we host the Secretariat of the Technical Working Group for the Compact Delivery and Monitoring Units (CDMU), focused on tracking progress and providing technical support to countries to establish in-country units driving the national implementation of National Energy Compacts. This technical working group also oversees the development of new energy compacts.
