Advancing SDG7: Energy Compacts Progress Update 2025 - Africa

The 2025 Energy Compacts Annual Progress Report provides a comprehensive overview of global progress toward achieving SDG7 – Affordable, Reliable, Sustainable, and Modern Energy for All. Since their launch in 2021, 162 Energy Compacts proponents have committed more than USD 1.6 trillion toward achieving global energy goals, with USD 292 billion mobilized to date.

UN-Energy, with support from Sustainable Energy for All, will convene this webinar to present the findings of the 2025 Energy Compacts Annual Progress Report and showcase signatory highlights from across Africa. The session will explore lessons, challenges, and opportunities to accelerate Energy Compact implementation and mobilize new commitments.
