This webinar will focus on systems that use data from under or unelectrified areas to determine the best electrification models. The presenters will talk about their respective tools - Village Data Analytics (VIDA), The Reference Electrification Model (REM) and The Global Electrification Platform (GEP) that can estimate the costs of electrification for households and businesses in order to help governments, finance institutions and mini-grid developers plan electrification investments in specific countries of Africa and Asia.

These tools/ platforms will have a paramount role in the decade before 2030, as there is an urgent need to accelerate electrification initiatives for financing to introduce and scale up least cost technologies for electricity access.
