Overview   

This conference covers key PV industry issues, including government incentives, development trends, technical upgrading, conversion efficiency, PV systems, smart grid connection, financing and risk, among others, via various programs incorporating different topics. Apart from the Global Solar Leaders Dialogue, Global Advanced PV Technology Conference, and Global Green Energy & PV Financial Summit, there will also be the Graphene Photoelectric Application Summit, and Energy Interconnection Technologies and Application Summit.   

Damilola Ogunbiyi, CEO and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All, and Uche Honnah, Principal Specialist, SEforALL will deliver keynote addresses during the Global Green Energy Leaders Dialogue on 23 May. 

 

Business Roundtable on China-Africa Cooperation on Renewable Energy Industry Development & Financing  

This roundtable is being organized by Sustainable Energy for All and the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association. Both are partners in the Africa Renewable Energy Manufacturing Initiative, along with the African Climate Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and ClimateWorks Foundation.   

The objective of the Business Roundtable on China-Africa Cooperation on Renewable Energy Industry Development & Financing is to bolster the cooperative relationship between China and Africa in the sectors of renewable energy and green finance by exploring innovative models for mutual development.  

The pursuit of renewable energy development in both China and Africa shares common challenges, including the need for enhanced technology, financial support, and improved management. It is thus imperative that the two regions strengthen their collaboration, seeking collective solutions to further renewable energy development and contribute to sustainable growth in the China and African nations.  

The roundtable is designed to be an interactive platform for a diverse group of participants, including government officials from China and Africa, representatives from international organizations, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, and scholars. The agenda features discussions on strategic planning, mechanisms, and case studies related to green finance and renewable energy cooperation between China and Africa. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and insights, thereby contributing to the collective effort in advancing green development cooperation between China and Africa.
