Country engagement

We focus on supporting countries with the largest energy access gaps globally and those at greatest risk from the effects of climate change. Our current or recent country partners include Barbados, Benin, Cambodia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, NigeriaRwandaSierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda.

We work with them to build ambition and political support for their energy transition, but also in designing solutions that will build local capacity, improve policies and regulations, and mobilize finance for energy projects.

In all cases, our country engagement involves close collaboration with national governments to identify their priorities. From there, we engage our network of donors and partners to collaborate on country projects.
