SEforALL and the Decade of Action - April 2020

100 days report
100

Damilola Ogunbiyi began her roles as CEO of Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All (SRSG) and Co-Chair of UN-Energy on 1 January 2020.

Her first 100 days have been devoted to transitioning SEforALL away from a focus on problem dimensioning and awareness raising to an engagement model that prioritizes data-driven decision-making, partnerships with high-impact countries and implementation on the ground. Damilola’s vision for SEforALL is for it to be an international organization at the center of a renewed global compact that recommits countries and companies to the actions necessary to Sustainable Development Goal 7.

The transition towards this new strategic approach has led to a busy three months for SEforALL trying to align current and potential partners and funders around this new vision, and initiating new bodies of work. SEforALL also started to reprioritize its efforts and resources towards supporting a global response to the current pandemic, working with companies and international institutions to better understand and quantify the effects of COVID-19 and provide sustainable solutions for the energy sector.

These activities are summarized in this first 100 Days Report: SEforALL and the Decade of action.
