96% of people in Nepal have access to electricity, a number that stood at just 51% a few years ago.

Remarkable progress has been made in Nepal when it comes to electrification. But the challenge of reaching universal electricity access is no small task. The final 4% are in hard-to-reach, last-mile communities, where connections to the main grid are nearly impossible.

Harnessing a mix of technologies and coordinating efforts between governments, businesses and development partners are essential to making universal electrification in Nepal a reality.
